Reservations

Café Thijssen is often the setting for cheerful gatherings in honor of birthdays, graduations, farewells, promotions, births, bar mitzvahs, weddings, bachelor parties, tupperware parties, bake sales, and much more.

We are a busy café but are happy to reserve a corner for large groups. However, space is limited. We are not suitable for huge parties, so please email us in advance. We are never available for exclusive hire and do not have separate rooms—unless you count the smallest room. We only reserve specific tables in exceptional cases. Email us, and of course, we are happy to accommodate anyone with mobility issues or a special request for a favorite spot in our brown café.

On Fridays, there is no space for very large groups (30+) as we are a lively nightlife café and want to keep it that way. Want to know more? Email us at borrel@cafethijssen.nl and include the desired date and time, number of people, type of event, and anything else relevant for a great time at our café.

Quiz Night

Every last Monday of the month in Dutch & English

Are you a trivia monster? Or a music expert, visual mastermind, or other specialist who can strengthen your quiz team? Or just a social butterfly, because that's what our Monday pub quiz is all about! From 20:00 to 23:00, we compete every Monday evening for the title of quiz champion of the night. 'What should I do with Monday?'—well, that's one question answered!

Sign up via quiznight@cafethijssen.nl. Include the date in the subject, your team name, and the number of team members (max. 5). You will receive a confirmation with your team number. The first 20 teams get a spot; you will receive confirmation by email within a few days. You can also drop by, but a spot is not guaranteed.

Want to participate with multiple teams? Let us know, and we’ll take it into account when organizing.

Be present at 19:45 so we can start at eight sharp. Participation costs €3 per person. Besides eternal glory, there are, of course, great prizes to win. Can’t make it? Please let us know in time. You don’t have to pay in advance, but do inform us so we can offer your spot to other quizzers.

Gather all your friends and see you Monday!
